Time Warner joins the bidding for Chilevisión

The companies interested in acquiring the private free-to-air TV channel Chilevisión, owned by the Chilean President Sebastián Piñera, had amounted to seven over the last weeks. Time Warner would be one of the new bidders. At the beginning of August, the aforementioned sale would be defined. Offers would surpass USD 140 millions.

Federal Telecommunications Commission President wants to open Pay-TV for Telmex

The President of the Mexican Federal Telecommunications Commission, Mony de Swaan, pointed out that Telmex license title should be revised in order to enable the company to render Pay-TV services in such country, as it does in other Latin American regions. Since a few years ago, the Mexican company has been trying to get the aforementioned authorization unsuccessfully.
